On October 10, Youtube unveiled a new method for the community to connect and uncover artists. It’s now easy to enhance traffic to your profile and awareness of your channel in the app, thanks to the recent addition of @handles for channels.
You may lead people to your material using your @handle, which is exclusive to your channel. Additionally, it will have a separate channel URL, providing a new chance for branding. This new YouTube feature will appear on channel sites and shorts, making it easy to distinguish them.
According to YouTube, Handles would enable mentioning one another in comments, community postings, video descriptions, and other places easier and quicker. They are usually indicated by a @ symbol before a name and are particularly beneficial for persons wishing to establish their identity, convey their thoughts, or make others laugh.
By logging in to YouTube, you may get your username. After logging in, click on your profile image to access the settings. Then, from the left menu, you must choose Advanced Settings. You can see the user and channel IDs for your channel.
YouTube added the following:
Your distinct @handle will help people find and interact with your YouTube channel. Because handles are unique (unlike channel names), it’s simple to confirm if you’re engaging with the right person or not. Handles are a new unique identifier (for example, @youtubecreators) & ALL YouTube channels will have one.
It will be more challenging to build duplicate channels and trick people with phony uploads and frauds by ensuring each channel has a distinct @handle, which they can promote directly; therefore, it is unquestionably a worthwhile change.
