LinkedIn has introduced new post prompts and topics to its Analytics and Tools dashboard to support creators in establishing their in-app presence. The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of content performance and creator-specific tools like LinkedIn Live, Newsletters, and CTA links. The new ‘Conversations Happening Now’ section in the Creator Mode dashboard includes a Post Ideas listing that assists creators in creating relevant posts for their audience.
The Conversations Happening Now section provides a sample of posts that may be relevant to a user and their audience. The posts displayed in this section are based on the content a user has previously posted and topics that their audience may find interesting. By clicking on a post, users can review it in more detail and consider reposting it with their own commentary to join the conversation.

LinkedIn has been rolling out its new Analytics and Tools dashboard to users in Creator Mode since February. The platform aims to encourage more users to post regularly, experimenting with AI-generated post prompts to help users think about what they might want to post to maximize engagement with their in-app audience.
Some argue that this initiative could be inauthentic and could lead to less genuine insights and interactions with actual experts. They contend that the idea behind Creator Mode is to allow users to showcase their expertise and knowledge within their niche. If LinkedIn curates posts for users, it could help those with less oversight and insight gain more notoriety without fully comprehending the industry’s scope. Additionally, using AI to generate opinion posts could lead to an influx of meaningless opinions instead of facilitating genuine insights and respectful interactions with actual experts.
However, for posts to receive attention, original and authentic insights are necessary. LinkedIn’s post prompts may help some users improve their standing, but original thinking is still required to separate oneself from the crowd. LinkedIn is likely hoping that the need for original insights will weed out those who are less experienced and knowledgeable in their niche.
The new Conversations Happening Now element is currently only available to English language users of Creator Mode, but it will be available in other languages shortly. Overall, this initiative is part of LinkedIn’s effort to increase engagement and encourage more users to post regularly.
