Recently, Google announced Bard, a conversational AI service that will provide fresh and high-quality responses to questions via information sourced from across the web.
Google has officially entered the chatbot ring with the release of Bard, its response to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. “Bard aims to integrate the breadth of the world’s knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models,” said Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, in a blog post.
Introducing Bard:
Two years ago, Google unveiled next-generation language and conversation capabilities powered by our Language Model for Dialogue Applications ( LaMDA for short form).
Google has been researching an experimental conversational AI service called Bard, which LaMDA powers. And now, Google is taking another step forward by making it accessible to dedicated testers ahead of its general release in the coming weeks.
Bard aspires to bring together the breadth of the world’s information with their large language models’ strength, intelligence, and innovation. Bard gathers information from the internet to produce unique, high-quality replies. It can be a creative outlet and a launchpad for curiosity, allowing you to explain new discoveries or learn more about the finest players in football right now and then get drills to improve your abilities.
Competition with ChatGPT and others
Google has direct competition with ChatGPT. ChatGPT has already set a benchmark with One Hundred Million Records just two months after its launch. According to reliable report sources, ChatGPT averages 13 million unique visitors daily. Other competitors include Microsoft. Microsoft has announced a press conference in conjunction with OpenAI.
