Requirements
The company had a very crystal clear vision of the ad campaign and their requirement was to generate leads for Cloud & Software Development services. Linkedin being the widely used platform among professionals and the kind of targetting it provides were the reasons to choose Linkedin for B2B business of this domain.
Approach
We selected LinkedIn lead generation ads based on the client’s industry and target market. Specifically, the LinkedIn lead generation forms would allow us to:
1. Gather leads and track performance without using their website. At the final stage of the lead generation form, we could use a URL to point potential customers to the downloadable content.
2. Since LinkedIn pre-fills the majority of the information, this will enable us to gather more leads.
3. Aim for senior decision-makers with specific job titles who are only relevant to the client’s sector of business.
Right now, Google AdWords is unable to accomplish any of the aforementioned tasks. Lead generation forms would also offer a fluid mobile user experience, which should increase the completion rate of forms. We went through a process of determining the audience type that our client was hoping to reach and then finalized the filters for audience targeting.
To make sure the ad copy would be appealing to the target audience, we collaborated with the client.
We had four different ad variations for each of the four campaigns we ran. We could test and determine what was working and what wasn’t based on performance because each design version had different messaging.
The campaigns were successful in obtaining leads, which was our main goal.
